Packaging Supplies
There are many different types of packaging supplies,
many of them pre-manufactured to standard sizes that fit common items,
such as spindles and cases for compact discs and DVDs. Many boxes are
available prefabricated to standard shipping container sizes for easier
loading and unloading. They are made in sizes that are easy to handle
by hand, hand truck or fork lift depending on the size.
If packaging supplies cannot be found prefabricated, they can often
be custom made to fit product designs closely. Some products need special
protection that is often hard to find with ready-made supplies but can
be manufactured at custom plants. Pre-made supplies such as bubble wrap
and Styrofoam peanuts can help reinforce boxes and protect products
from damage.
Packaging supplies can be found at shipping stores, post offices and
paper outlets. Companies such as UPS and FedEx carry boxes and tubes
in many shapes and sizes as well as the material to safely pack them.
They can also effectively and timely ship whatever is packed. These
places mostly work with single items that need to be shipped from individual
to individual. Larger product releases are often handled with major
supply and shipping companies.
